Everything still turns to gold

I think this is an amazing piece of art. I really like how you made something very simple, like the flower, look so alien. And that is where this photograph makes impact. For me it isn't the colour or the composition that makes this a good deviation, it's the transformation of something known into something unknown and beautiful.
The depth is also great. It makes the flowers almost jump out of the photo and I think this also adds up to the alien look, as do the vibrant colours.
The only improvement I can think of is that you could've played with the light more. Not that it bothers me the way you used the light in this shot, but it might result to interesting photo's. There's nothing wrong with a little experimenting <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
